Ettie-Mai

Ettie-Mai actually started with ballet in 2021 but soon realised that this wasn't for her. Later that same year she joined Rhythmic Dance Academy and began dancing ballroom, Latin and sequence.

At the tender age of 6, Ettie-Mai entered her first ever competition at the famous Blackpool Tower and was hooked.

Ettie-Mai now regularly competes at least twice a month and is just as in love with the sport now as when she first put her toes on the dance floor.

In her spare time, Ettie-Mai loves to hit the slopes with Cardiff Ski Race Team as well as going to Brownies, swimming and doing colouring, drawing and writing stories.

Ettie-Mai says "There are times I don't make a final but I always try my best. If I don't make a final I always cheer on others from my dance school as well as other competitors".

Couples Ambassadors

Thomas and Erin

Erin and Thomas joined forces in November 2023. Both being at the same dance school (Goodman's Dance Academy) has made it ideal for them to practice together.

Thomas started Ballroom and Latin dancing when he was 5 and Erin started when she was 10 (having been a competitive cheerleader since she was 4).

Building on routines has been a big part of their practice and their hard work paid off when they were successful in qualifying for the 2024 NATD Grand Finals in Blackpool.

Thomas and Erin have become such good friends and can often be found going to Air Cadets together or messing around in the swimming pool. Thomas is an accomplished trumpet player and Erin loves to play piano.

Erin has the nickname 'nugget' (her dance teacher has always called her this) and Thomas is known as 'socks' due to his amazing sock collection he wears to practice.

Both are always ready to support their fellow dancers and say "we love to dance together and even though we sometimes disagree on what steps come next, we always work hard to have fun and do our best".
